Hair & Now

During a trip to the hair stylist this week, my 3-year-old managed to amaze me. Not only was she specific about how she wanted her hair, she wanted it short! She even instructed our stylist Jana, and after it was cut it to her shoulders she insisted it go shorter. Shorter!

But the most fascinating part of the whole experience --- how exhilarated she was after.   Pure bliss.  Seriously, 36 hours later she's still giddy about how it swishes around, smiling at herself in the mirror.

So my question is... Isn't she a little young to get the "I just got my hair did!"-high?

You know what I'm talking about.  The anticipation of a drastic change to come, the rush of adrenaline after...  Why do you think so many women sing about it?

I am an expert on the "I just got my hair did"-high.  As someone who's been blonde, brunette, red, and red-from-the-bottle-that-turned-out-pink, I adore changing up my 'do.  And as one who's gone long, short, and even buzzed, I'm not fickle about extremes.  With that said, my newest fascination is with wild hair colors.  You know, the girls with the pinks and blues, a la Katy Perry?  It's fun and flirty and I really want to try it!

So my next question is... Am I too old for turquoise tips?

The two great hair dilemmas ---> Sound off now!

No not to old at all Emily! I had the pink and black tips just last summer and plan to go back to it again this summer! Love that Shannon knew exactly what she wanted and is still so excited with it afterwards!! :)
